First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Vallejo began in September 1899. This year, we are celebrating 125 years of making noise in this community. Learn all about FCC Vallejo here.
A Great Celebration
Our 125th Anniversary celebration took place on September 21st and 22nd.
On Saturday, we hosted an open house with snacks, games, activities, and plenty of opportunities for fellowship with friends old and new. The entire church building was open for self guided tours, with multiple displays on our history throughout the building. We hosted representatives from our various partners in faith and mission at the open house to share more about the important work that they do.
On Sunday, our regular morning worship service focused on our anniversary, followed by a wonderful catered lunch. The service featured a very special guest preacher, Rev. Terri Hord Owens, the General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada.

Our building needs help - the kitchen, exterior signs, and sanctuary all require upgrades and repair. As part of our celebration, we have created the 125th Future Fund to face these needs.
